Amine el Bacha is renowned for his paintings, writings and illustrations and is associated with a lot of the historical art activities in the city of Beirut. He graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts and continued his studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts and at La Grande Chaumiere with Henri Goetz.
His work was initially commissioned for illustrations of Alain Juoffroy in the 1970s, then by Lebanese poet Nadia Tueni in 1983, and for the Italian versions of Leopold Sedar Senghor’s poetry from when he spent time in Italy.
